I teach old school when I’m not on test:

• I explain the technicalities of the car if needed so that you understand why you need to do things in a particular way.
• I demonstrate frequently when it's required.
• We park somewhere safe so that we can talk and I can draw diagrams.
• Some of the diagrams have roads that we can drive toy vehicles on in safety.
• I understand that just because you have been able to do something on a number of lessons doesn’t necessarily mean that you can do it today.
• I understand that you may be able to do something challenging that will build your confidence and give you practice controlling the car when you are not yet up to changing gear safely in between parked cars and oncoming traffic when there is enough room to do so.
