Food reduces the affect of alcohol? Well no, not really. All that food does is slow down the processing of alcohol so that you remain drunk for longer.
You cannot predict with accuracy how much alcohol will put you over the limit or how long it will take to wear off, but any amount of alcohol is too much to drive!
The UK drink drive limit is 80 milligrams of alcohol to 100 millilitres of blood or 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath. This is far too high. It should be a third of that to be safe and effective.
